The worst thing about the 18 year olds is that sometimes they don’t understand that breaking the rules has consequences. On the other hand, this drawback is tempered by the fact that most often these young minds are typically the most pliable. Like a young pup just looking for some order and direction in his life, so a fresh adult is also seeking authority – someone to tell him what to do and how to live his life. Well, this resident I believe is a good case in point. He got in trouble for contraband. But to tell you the truth, I’m not sure that he even enjoys breaking the rules. I think that he had becoome accustomed to breaking the rules because it was a way to impress his peers. Well, we have put a stop to this way of thinking. And I think that he is on track to only trying to impress the House Managers.
